Ce chiffre, rapport\u00e9 par le ministre du P\u00e9trole et des Mines Birame Souleye Diop, traduit une baisse de 13% par rapport \u00e0 janvier (3,11 millions de barils) et marque par extension un premier ralentissement de la production.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sangomar, qui est officiellement entr\u00e9 en production l\u2019\u00e9t\u00e9 dernier, est devenu le premier projet p\u00e9trolier commercial \u00e0 \u00eatre lanc\u00e9 au S\u00e9n\u00e9gal. La production avait progress\u00e9 de mani\u00e8re r\u00e9guli\u00e8re durant la p\u00e9riode initiale, de juin \u00e0 septembre 2024, avec un total cumul\u00e9 de 8,17 millions de barils. Ce d\u00e9veloppement continu a ensuite \u00e9t\u00e9 soutenu par des productions mensuelles croissantes de 2,82 millions, 2,94 millions et 2,96 millions de barils en octobre, novembre et d\u00e9cembre, avant d\u2019atteindre 3,11 millions de barils en janvier.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Malgr\u00e9 cette baisse de f\u00e9vrier, les raisons de cette contraction n\u2019ont pas \u00e9t\u00e9 pr\u00e9cis\u00e9es et l\u2019impact potentiel sur les pr\u00e9visions de production reste incertain. Toutefois, le ministre Diop a affirm\u00e9 que les objectifs de production de Sangomar pour l\u2019ann\u00e9e en cours demeurent inchang\u00e9s, avec une estimation de 30,5 millions de barils de brut \u00e0 produire d\u2019ici la fin de l\u2019exercice 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En f\u00e9vrier 2025, Woodside a \u00e9galement r\u00e9\u00e9valu\u00e9 \u00e0 la hausse les r\u00e9serves du champ p\u00e9trolier, s\u2019appuyant sur les bonnes performances des r\u00e9servoirs S500. Les r\u00e9serves prouv\u00e9es et probables (2P) ont \u00e9t\u00e9 estim\u00e9es \u00e0 15,4 millions de barils \u00e9quivalents p\u00e9trole, tandis que les r\u00e9serves prouv\u00e9es (1P) atteignent d\u00e9sormais 16,2 millions de barils. Cette r\u00e9\u00e9valuation positive est un signal favorable pour la stabilisation de la production, qui devrait se maintenir \u00e0 100 000 barils par jour, conform\u00e9ment aux plans de la compagnie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pour rappel, Woodside d\u00e9tient 82% des parts du projet Sangomar, tandis que le S\u00e9n\u00e9gal, \u00e0 travers la compagnie publique PETROSEN, en d\u00e9tient 18%.
