De quoi motiver un r\u00e9am\u00e9nagement de sa strat\u00e9gie.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Anders Opedal (photo ci-dessous), le PDG du norv\u00e9gien Equinor actif entre autres en Alg\u00e9rie, en Angola, en Tanzanie et en Libye, a annonc\u00e9 cette semaine que la soci\u00e9t\u00e9 pr\u00e9voit d\u2019augmenter de plus de 10% de sa production de p\u00e9trole brut et de gaz naturel \u00ab&nbsp;<em>entre 2024 et 2027\u2009<\/em>\u00bb. Ceci s\u2019accompagne d\u2019une r\u00e9duction de la moiti\u00e9 de ses investissements dans les \u00e9nergies renouvelables, qui passeront de 10&nbsp;milliards USD \u00e0 environ 5&nbsp;milliards USD sur la m\u00eame p\u00e9riode.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"960\" height=\"641\" src=\"https:\/\/www.lejournalci.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/1000532251-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3905\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.lejournalci.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/1000532251-1.jpg 960w, https:\/\/www.lejournalci.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/1000532251-1-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.lejournalci.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/1000532251-1-768x513.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 960px) 100vw, 960px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>La compagnie p\u00e9troli\u00e8re explique ce choix par un contexte de difficult\u00e9s \u00e9conomiques qui&nbsp;<em>\u00ab\u2009ralentissent le rythme de la transition \u00e9nerg\u00e9tique\u2009\u00bb<\/em>&nbsp;et affectent la rentabilit\u00e9 de son segment renouvelable. Face \u00e0 ces d\u00e9fis, elle pr\u00e9f\u00e8re se recentrer sur des actifs plus rentables, notamment dans l\u2019extraction du p\u00e9trole et du gaz.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Equinor suit ainsi la tendance de multinationales comme BP, Shell ou encore TotalEnergies, qui r\u00e9\u00e9valuent leurs ambitions climatiques au profit de leur rentabilit\u00e9 \u00e0 court et moyen terme.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Les op\u00e9rations se poursuivent en Afrique<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Le continent africain fait partie des premiers concern\u00e9s par ces ajustements strat\u00e9giques. D\u2019un c\u00f4t\u00e9, Equinor a quitt\u00e9 le Nigeria en d\u00e9cembre 2024, en vendant ses actifs p\u00e9troliers \u00e0 Chappal \u00c9nergies pour un montant d\u2019environ 1,2&nbsp;milliard USD. Ralenti par des n\u00e9gociations complexes avec les autorit\u00e9s locales, ce projet pourrait, s\u2019il se concr\u00e9tise, dynamiser l\u2019\u00e9conomie du pays et renforcer sa s\u00e9curit\u00e9 \u00e9nerg\u00e9tique.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Equinor est par ailleurs impliqu\u00e9 dans un fonds de 500&nbsp;millions USD aux c\u00f4t\u00e9s de TotalEnergies, de BP et de Shell, visant \u00e0 am\u00e9liorer l\u2019acc\u00e8s \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9nergie en Afrique subsaharienne.
